Netgear WiFi Range Extender 3000RP – Detailed Setup process for you to use the device correctly and efficiently, ensuring a seamless Internet Browsing experience.


Steps for Configuration of your Netgear Range Extender WN3000RP via Ethernet Cable:

·         Connect your Netgear WI-FI range extender WN3000RP to your computer or laptop with an Ethernet cable.

·         Ensure that the power LED light is ON which is present on the LED panel of the extender WN3000RP and is green in color.

·         Open a web browser on your computer or laptop.

·        Type www.mywifiext.net or the default IP address i.e. 192.168.1.250 into your web browser and press Enter.

·         Click on the new extender set up and create a login account to access the configuration panel.

·         Once you create an account, click on Next and you will be greeted with the following message: Welcome to NETGEAR Genie! How would you like to use your extender?

·         Click on WiFi range extender, select your WiFi network and click Next.

·         Enter the same password (network key) for your existing WiFi network.

·         Enter a network name and update security settings for your extended WiFi network (s).

·         Confirm the settings. The new extender set up will take approximately two minutes for the extender to make a successful connection with the preferred or the selected network.

·         The device will restart and setup will now be completed.



Steps for Configuration of your Netgear Range Extender WN3000RP via Browser:

·         Connect your Netgear WiFi range extender WN3000RP to a power source and ensure that the Power LED light is On. Wait till it gets Green.

·         On your phone / laptop / tab, click on the networks and select NETGEAR_EXT which will show as an Open Network as it is in Default Settings.

·         Click on Connect.

·         Open a web browser on your computer or laptop.

·        Type www.mywifiext.net or the default IP address i.e. 192.168.1.250 into your web browser and press Enter.

·         Click on the new extender set up and create a login account to access the configuration panel.

·         Once you create an account, click on Next and you will be greeted with the following message: Welcome to NETGEAR Genie! How would you like to use your extender?

·         Click on WiFi range extender and select your WiFi network followed by clicking on Next.

·         Enter the same password (network key) for your existing WiFi network.

·         Connect your Netgear WiFi range extender WN3000RP to a power source and ensure that the Power LED light is On. Wait till it gets Green.

·         Push the WPS button located on the left side of the extender right next to the Power button.

·         The WPS LED on the device will start blinking which means that it is ready to connect.

·         Push the WPS button located on the Router and wait till the time the WPS LED on the extender stops blinking and becomes stable.

·         The WiFi LED on the extender will turn green now which means that the device has now started emitting wifi signals.

·         Under Networks on your phone / laptop / computer, you will see your existing wifi network with extension _EXT. Click on this SSN ID and key in the same password which you use for your existing wifi network.

·         Click on Connect and the connection will be established.
